Two-player Chess: capture the king

How to play Chess

• White moves first. Click one of your pieces to see its available destinations, then click a destination to move.
• Players alternate turns. Pieces use their familiar movement patterns; capture the other player's king to win this version.
• Use New Game to reset the board for another match.

This is not a full tournament chess rules engine: it does not enforce check or checkmate, and the win condition is capturing the king. Castling and en passant are not available.
